Whether it is through home movies, pictures, newsletters, calendars or journal entries you all know that I have kept a very detailed timeline of all the important trips and triumphs of my life. Today lets reflect on November 1st…

Night at the Museum at the National Museum of the United States Air Force. 11–1–19

2019 — I started parking for $160 a month in my new spot in the 200 Civic Center Garage. Then at work I went to the Call to Duty for the 147th Air Defense Artillery Brigade in support of Operation Noble Eagle in Reynoldsburg. Mrs. Lambert from Walnut Creek was there. Turns out her husband was being deployed. Then I dropped off the cable equipment… we cancelled last night at Spectrum and off we went to the National Museum of the Air Force for a Night at the Museum. It was super crowded but so much fun. Lots of people in military and Star Wars costumes.

Go See It at the SAwmill Wetlands. 11–1–14

2014 — A fun day that started with our Cub Scout Den’s Go See it at the Sawmill Wetlands. Michelle and Joe had organized 4 owls to see us as well as a tour. It was very cold, but fun! Tonight we got Bandit some dog toys and food, including his a Tauntaun costume and a Star Wars dog tag.

2012 — I went on a field trip to the brand new Big Darby Creek MetroPark visitor center. It was a fun day learning about the endangered species that only exist at Big Darby Creek.

Zack and I with the giraffes at the Phoenix Zoo. 11–1–09

2009 — Liz, Zack & I went to the Phoenix Zoo with Erin and Ryan Rabb. Zack had an awesome time seeing giraffes for the first time.

Zack enjoying his Exersaucer for the first time. 11–1–07

2007 — Zack was able to fit into and enjoy his exersaucer for the first time.

2001 — After work Liz and I went with Jason Pheister and Heather? to see Life as a House. I cried, it was so good. It made me think of Zack Keyes (my best friend who had passed away the year earlier). I even used some of the music from this movie for part five of my My Life movie videos.

1998 — A great day at ONN, where our new A.P. Jen Himes did a great job her first time working with me, I wrote a package on one of my all-time favorite people John Glenn, and we broke in live to carry Glenn press conference from space. John Glenn is the greatest living American hero in my opinion. I’ll admit I’m a bit bias being a NASA nut. Dan Lee, Mike Raymond, Daniela Vidal, Anthony Moretti and I also had a blast eating at Cap City. I tried to get my crews to go out to eat when we worked on the weekends together. It made working the weekend evenings not so bad.

1997 — Shawn Fox and I narrowed down our apartment search to Sawmill Village and Island Club. We went with Sawmill where I lived for 7 years with 3 different roommates.

1992 — I was inducted into the Phi Sigma Eta, a national honor society founded to encourage and reward academic excellence among first-year college students. It made me feel like I was going a great job at Syracuse.

1989 — My all-time most interesting movie experience. After finishing the Historical Edition of Griff’s Greats 21 for Dr. Kepner for Band, I went to see Steel Magnolias with my parents at the Richmond Theater. We had gotten free sneak peak passes and the place was packed. Right as Julia Robert’s character was dying on the big screen a woman sitting almost directly in front of me stood up and screamed “Somebody help me!” When the lights turned on, it appeared the man sitting next to her was having a heart attack. The paramedics were called and they pulled the man into the aisle and worked with him before taking him away on a stretcher. The entire time the movie was still playing on the screen, and at one point another woman in the row in front of us stood up and yelled “Would anyone like to join me in the Lord’s prayer?” I started laughing out of control. I know it’s horrible, but I just could not stop laughing. I really tried, but the way the lady yelled it was really funny and others laughed too, but I just couldn’t stop. I had to pull my jacket over my head, I was so embarrassed. Turns out the man had an insulin reaction just like Julia Roberts had on screen.
